Prof. Dr. Philip Booth – he teaches at St. Mary’s University and is Senior Academic Fellow at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) – speaks about environmental protection, free markets, and what Catholic social teaching says about them. He points out that the more natural resources are in private hands and do not belong to the state, the more environmentally friendly they are used.

This lecture was given at the AUSTRIAN ACADEMY 2019 “Market Economy and Entrepreneurship – their contribution to a free and humane society”. Participants of the almost three-day event were 27 students and young professionals who were selected on the basis of an application procedure and received a full scholarship from the Austrian Institute, the organizer of the event.
