Florian A. Hartjen (b. 1990) studied political science in Erfurt, law at the University of Aberdeen and political economy at King’s College London. After working for the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in South Africa and Open Europe Berlin, he was Head of Strategy & Development from 2017 to 2019, responsible for professionalization and fundraising at Prometheus—Das Freiheitsinstitut [The Freedom Institute] in Berlin. He is currently concentrating on his doctoral project at King’s College London on the topic of human trafficking, and he continues to support Prometheus as a Senior Fellow.
