Nils Sonnenberg is a research fellow at the Institute for Economic Policy at the University of Leipzig. As a doctoral student at the University of Leipzig, he participates in the Central-German Doctoral Program in Economics (CGDE) and is currently an Adam Smith Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. His research interests include the analysis of the economic order in which financial cycles arise. The focus of his work is on applications of dynamic market process economics and the analysis of political economy with respect to regulatory, monetary, and fiscal policy interventions. Nils Sonnenberg holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Muenster. His academic education was supplemented by studies abroad in Buenos Aires and Bilbao.
